AirGuard #

AirGuard is an App for Android and iOS that gives you the Anti-Stalking protection you deserve. The app scans the surrounding environment to detect Trackers like AirTags, SmartTags or other Trackers. If the app finds that one of these trackers is following you, it will notify you and give you the opportunity to take action.

These trackers are only the size of a coin and can be easily hidden in your belongings.
iOS and Android have integrated warnings for tracking devices, but only for some of them and with very limited information.
AirGuard gives you full protection from all big tracking device brands.

How does AirGuard work? #

AirGuard uses Bluetooth to scan the surrounding environment for tracking devices.
Everything that was found will be saved locally on your device. This data will only be processed on your device.

Every time a tracker has been seen on different locations, the app will notify you.
You will have the opportunity to scan specifically for that tracker to be able to find and identify it. Depending on the type of tracker you will also be able to play a sound on it or get information about the owner of the tracker.

Who are we? #

We are part of the technical university of Darmstadt. This project is part of the scientific research of the Secure Mobile Networking Lab. Our goal is to make the world a safer place by providing you with the tools to protect yourself from tracking devices.

With this app your can voluntarily participate in our research and help us to improve the app and the detection of tracking devices. We only collect anonymized data and do not store any personal information.

This app will never be monetized, will always stay ad-free and will always be open-source.
